Students with ability in the area of studio art will be invited to campus for a portfolio review with faculty for these scholarships.  The student must have a demonstrated commitment to pursuing studio art at Ripon College. Majoring or minoring in studio art is not required. Renewal is contingent on the following criteria: enrollment in at least one studio art course per year; maintain enrollment as a full-time student; and maintain satisfactory progress toward a four-year degree as published in the Ripon College Catalog.

We are offering in-person and virtual portfolio opportunities. Reviews will occur between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. in 20-minute audition time slots.

Yes, students must prepare an artistic portfolio in advance. Students can bring in paper or digital portfolios to display their art.

Guests of students will be asked to wait outside during the portfolio review process in a waiting area. We want to provide all students an equal opportunity to present without external factors. This also will help with our evaluation process by having fair standards across all reviews.

If you are awarded a scholarship, you must be accepted to Ripon College and enroll in our incoming Class of 2028 to receive your scholarship as part of your Ripon College financial aid offer. If you are not accepted to Ripon College by March 1, 2024, your scholarship may be awarded to other eligible students.

Scholarships are renewable for four years as long as the recipient meets the qualifying requirements.

This scholarship is available only for students enrolled at Ripon College and cannot be used at other institutions.


Studio Art Scholarship Portfolio Review Requirements

Students will be asked to bring in a professional artistic portfolio featuring at minimum 6 original pieces of art. This portfolio can be paper art, digital art, photos of sculptures.

If a student elects to create a digital portfolio or share their art via a website, please notify the faculty you plan to present your art in this medium.
